In fact, the longer the chips are soaked, the slower they will burn, so the aroma will develop more slowly. Especially useful for longer, cold smoking.
If you smoke your food on a charcoal grill, you can place the soaked chips directly on the coals. If you smoke on a gas grill, we advise you to place the chips in a smoking cylinder or cast-iron tray.
